Operation School Tools
Suppose you were a baker and had no pots or pans with which to cook. Or what if you were a carpenter and had no hammer or saw? Now think of a child at school that doesn’t have paper or pencils, crayons or book bag. Can you imagine the frustration…and the embarrassment?
But you can help-as an individual, as a class or as a church. Each year “Communities in Schools” sponsors a drive to collect school supplies for hundreds of children in Rowan County. What would happen if the Baptist churches stepped in and got our members involved?
So this year Stallings will work with Operation School Tools to provide supplies to various children in Rowan County and this year’s community distribution will take place at First Baptist-Salisbury on Saturday, August 21. The goal is to furnish supplies for 400 children and we can help be a part of that.
Please drop your school supplies outside the church office no later than August 11 and we will get these to First Baptist Church.
School Tools Items Needed:
